Our responsibility to building our communities

We believe in the just transition of the energy sector, from traditional fossil fuels to the renewables of today and the future.

Jempec recruits at least 70% of our workforce from our surrounding local communities. We do this to address prevailing socio-economic issues, and drive sustainability and development within and around our communities.

We go beyond this Group-wide policy, and contribute and drive many corporate social initiatives including:
• Donating to local community-based development initiatives
• Partnering with local communities in developing community-based infrastructure
• Mobilising fund-raising initiatives for local charity organisations
• Funding skills development programmes for the youth in our various communities
